The client had been in business for around 8 years at that time, but scaling had been challenging in the past two years since they completed the website development. Their store was actively using approximately 25 ready-made extensions from different vendors. The concern was that while they had all the functionality they needed, it didn't align with their vision.
Solution
The client possessed extensive knowledge of their target audience and knew what improvements were needed. Therefore, we began creating custom solutions to replace the ready-made extensions they had been using.
Process
First, we reworked their menu by removing unnecessary sections and adding custom ones.
Secondly, we implemented a third-party search service to enhance search results and speed.
As a third step, we designed a custom promotion extension, allowing the client to be more flexible during promotional seasons and provide users with the specific discount conditions they required.
Finally, we developed a custom module to manage their orders from the back-end.
Results
As a result, their order management team began spending approximately 20% less time, saving valuable resources.
Website navigation and search became significantly more intuitive, delivering results x3 times faster.
Within around three months of implementing these changes, the customer achieved record-breaking sales during the holiday season, which were x2.3 times higher than the same period last year.
